A lot has changed since I was adopted in the 50s, now the adoption industry offers many choices to biological parents. 

*****Safe-haven laws (also known in some states as “Baby Moses laws”, in reference to the religious scripture) are statutes in the United States that decriminalize the leaving of unharmed infants with statutorily designated private persons. Now moms can drop off their babies at police stations, fire stations, and hospitals with no question. The child becomes a ward of the state. The wait time for these babies being adopted can take up to a year or two.

Types of Adoptions: 

Closed adoptions: You can choose not to know their names. You can meet if you wish. After delivery, there will be no further contact. You will have access to updates and pictures through Tiny-beans app.

Semi-open adoptions: You can talk with them over the phone via conference call and exchange first names. You can meet if you wish. After delivery, you will have access to updates and pictures through Tiny-beans app.

Open Adoptions: You will talk to them over the phone. You can meet the potential adoptive family with your Adoption Coordinator. This will allow you to have a face to face experience with the family. You can get to know them a little more intimately. We will set up Marco Polo for communications. After delivery you can choose to exchange some personal information. You will have access to updates and pictures through Tiny-beans app.

Very open adoptions: Same as open adoption, additionally, you can share personal information after delivery of the baby. You can choose to stay in contact with the family, and your child, over throughout life by calling, texting, writing, and visits. You will have access through tiny-beans app.
